Keeping with the Brodak tradition of designing new kits we came out with
the Ryan PT-21 Recruit. This model is from our control-line sport scale
series. It was designed and drawn by Frank W. Beatty in 1999. John built
this kit from Frank's plans and entered it in the 1999 Nats at Muncie.
This was the first time John enetered in the Nats and was able to take
6th place overall.

The LA-5, a Profile Scale design based on the World War II Russian
fighter, features a wingspan of 52 inches, a wing area of 502 square
inches, and an overall length of 46.5 inches. The LA-5 can be flown with
engine sizes .40 to .56 four stroke.
