This 40 size Golden Age Racer stand off scale model has undergone very
minor changes to clean up the tooling and now includes a peel and stick Mylar decal.
Kit is recommended for experienced builders.
The kit instructions include the color scheme for the model X and C.
Decals with the kit are for the D. The kit has a modest hardware bag and modelers are reminded they need
engine mount and wheels, along with the usual glue and covering. For the average
flyer the Gee Bee D will be a pleasure to fly and a .40 engine is all that is
needed to provide scale like speed.

Weight may vary from 4.5 to 6 pounds depending on the
builder and their equipment.

The Bomber uses a 7 cell battery pack and lightweight radio gear. The
choice of motor is at the discretion of the builder, but modelers are encouraged
to consider the Leisure 3.8 geared 17 turn motor with a 13 x 8 Master airscrew
electric prop for exhilarating climbs to cloud base.

The kit has laser cut ribs and beautiful sanded parts for easy building.
Both cabin or pylon version are provided for in the kit. Designed for geared 05
motors and seven cells the Playboy still flies well with a heavy 2000ma pack.
The 800ma pack is required for SAM competition and the saving in weight enhances
the performance.

Gentle flying characteristics are found in the Buzzard and runway takeoff
from paved or short grass strips are possible. The wing area of 354sq. ins. The inexpensive speed 400 motors use six or
seven cells of 500ma size along with a 15amp speed control. Weight is an important factor in successful electric flight, so builders
should consider the size of radio gear and covering used.
