The Dare Design
"Quick Build" Focke-Wulf 190-A was designed for the
modeler who likes to build high performance warbirds, but has
limited building time. The model has been pre-fabricated to a point
which will insure a good straight airplane with a minimum effort by
the modeler.
The Model can be built with fixed landing gear for the modeler who's
looking for something simple, or the parts provided in the kit can
be used to install retracts, such as the B & D's we used on the
prototype. For the modeler who's looking for even more, flaps can
easily be added.
Power your model with a .45 2-stroke or a .65 4-stroke for a good,
solid sport scale model, or step up to a .60 2-stroke or .80
4-stroke and you'll have a fast, fully aerobatic model of one of
Germany's best fighters of WWII. Regardless of the engine
used, standard radio equipment is more than adequate.

This Dare Design kit has been available for quite some time, but until
now has not been shown on our website. With the renewed interest in
control line flying worldwide, we felt that we must add this great kit
that was designed for the beginner. It's also a refreshing change for
the experienced control line pilot and will provide a good model to
teach others how to fly control line.
This is a great little combination 1/2-A control line model that is very
easy to build and fly. The kit includes a full size plan and building
instructions, laser cut profile fuselage, machine cut wing and control
surfaces, Brodak 1/2-A motor mount, control horn, bellcrank, leadout
wire, pre-bent landing gear, wheels, hardware, etc.
For electric power we've included laser cut fuselage extensions and
other necessary conversion parts, including the electric power
conversion wiring diagram. For flying with electric power the model
requires a 6 volt speed 400 electric motor, a 10 amp fuse, a on/off
switch and a 600AE 5-cell battery.

This model was designed for a "tank-mount" .049 engine such as a Cox, or
the old O.K. Cub units. We will soon be including the parts necessary to
use the new Brodak .049 beam-mount engine that's shown on the website. |

The Dare
"Profile Smoothie" is an updated and simplified version of Bob Palmer's
immortal Veco "Smoothie", first kitted in the late 1960's. Engineered
for lightness, with easy construction, a complete hardware package and
quality laser cut balsa, the Dare "Profile Smoothie" retains the classic
fuselage lines and the beautiful semi-elliptical wing of the original
model. Designed by Larry Kruse for the control line sport flyer, or for
modelers wanting to move up to a full-flapped airplane, the "Profile
Smoothie" is a great intermediate ship capable of flying the full AMA
stunt pattern.
